I have picked up some singles from my FLGS and they do look good. I wanted to show you guys what I managed to snag from the comic store so far. I hope to get the whole set when I open the case. We’ll see, I guess.
This is what I have so far…
In case you can’t tell, from left to right: troll, human watch, gargoyle, skeleton, orc, elf wizard, chimera; Background: ettin, frost giant. Pretty good hits so far.
I compared the ettin with his WotC compatriots and he looks a lot better than them. Of course, the pink skin is the one that matches the 2e ettin most but whatever…
I have noticed some of these sculpts are very different from the WotC ones. The most glaring examples I’ve seen are the orc and troll but I am sure there will be more. My only real complaints are my troll looks really small and the chimera’s wing is warped and I can’t bend it into place. The plastic on these is quite stiff, so I’m more wary with them than I am with the WotC ones.
